Our farm began in January of 2020. I had just lost my dad and was needing some joy in my life. I decided to figure out how to grow annuals to cut and bring into our home to brighten my day and those of my friends. As I researched and took online courses, I kept hearing about a shortage of locally grown flowers and the lack of quality blooms when they did arrive. I decided to start growing for our local florist (and myself). We now have 17 florists that we deliver to throughout the growing season.
In 2023, we built a greenhouse and began growing a few hanging baskets and bedding plants for our florists.
In 2026, we’ll continue to serve our florist clients while adding a retail arm to the business. We’re excited to finally say, YES, when asked if individuals can purchase our blooms. We have a limited number of Flower Farm Club memberships and Peony Flower Subscriptions available so if this is something you’d like to enjoy yourself – or gift – don’t hesitate.
We are a small farm that epitomizes “family farm”. My mom helps with weeding, watering, harvesting and delivering blooms. My husband provides the muscle, math skills, emotional support, technical guidance and occasional flower deliveries. Middle and High School help offer additional support as needed with weeding and planting. Other friends and family step in and help as needed and they are available.
Sow hope, grow faith and harvest joy is our motto and is lived out daily around here.
